The Bible, God's inspired word to man, describes the group of people who follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior as "Christians" (Acts 11:26; Acts 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16). They were a part of the church that Jesus built (Matthew 16:18). Note they were not added to one of the many denominations that exist today. They were not called Protestants, or Baptists, or Lutherans, or any other modern denominational term - they were simply Christians.
We believe that if we follow the pattern for the church that we find in the Bible, we too can be simply Christians. We spend time in the study of the Bible and work to follow the pattern we find there of how to become Christians, worship our Lord as Christians, live our lives, and raise our families as Christians.
Our plea is call back to the Bible. We want to speak where the Bible speaks, but also remain silent where the Bible is silent. Our plea is for you to join us in our study of Scripture in doing those things that New Testament Christians did in service to their Lord.
We Are Simply Christians
We have been training preachers since 1965 and our first graduating class in 1967. Today, as much as ever before, the church needs dedicated men for work in the Kingdom. As the world population grows to over 7 billion souls, the need to sow the seed of the Gospel in the hearts of men has never been greater.
We Train Preachers. . Sound, dedicated preachers are needed to fill many empty pulpits and to proclaim boldly the truths of God's inspired word.
We Train Missionaries... Sound, compassionate missionaries are needed, both here in the U.S. and around the world, to take the saving message of Christ to the lost and dying. Since 1965, the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver has been training men and women for work in the Lord's Kingdom with a strong emphasis studying the Bible. Our mission is to ground faithful men in the truth of God's inspired word and fan their desire to go out into the world and preach. We believe in the pattern of sound words God has revealed to mankind in the Bible. Each day we work at entrusting this pattern to faithful men who will teach others also.
